Flat and Not-So-Flat

I've been really into making mailable cards lately. I love piling it on as much as the next gal but as I said earlier this week - lump tax bugs me. Here is a mailable card that I think has as much detail and texture as it's deeper cousins:

Stamps Used: Butterfly Queen by Bombshell Stamps

Speaking of piling it on, I made this very over the top valentine with a bunch of my red and pink color kit from Gauche Alchemy:

Remember, leave a joke ( off-color is fine) in the comments for entry into my drawing for a RAK. Follow this blog for an additional entry. Thanks for playing.

P.S. Welcome Willow Traders Blog Hoppers :-)

  1. Can they be dirty jokes? I only know one and it's a wee bit off color....lol!

Your cards ROCK! That first one doesn't even look like your work, well at least the stuff you post on your blog! It's gorgeous! Very shabby chic! The second card...I LOVE IT!

  5. Oo. The butterfly card is purty. And it totally does appear to have a depth dimension to it.

Don't enter me in the drawing, please (because the kit should go to a scrapbooker), but:

What's the only thing worse than a mecium?

The Blonde said, "No, it's toothpaste, you nosy bitch!"

  9. I love all the distressing on the first. Card, lumpy or not it is beautiful.

The valentine is so pretty. I love all the things from Gauche Alchemy that you used. And hey, a Valentine that pretty should be delivered by hand anyway.

  21. Those cards are great. I really liked that butterfly stamp.

joke:When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300 degrees Celsius. The Russians used a pencil.
