It's Friday and That Means...

I'm blogging at Gauche Alchemy!

Did you know I blog there twice a week? Yeparoo, I do. Monday's and Fridays you can find me hanging with the cool girls.

I was getting crafty with ATCs - wanna peek?

Click HERE to see the rest of them :-)

It's hard to believe it's been eight years since September 11th. My very best friend was living in Maryland and she called and said, " We're under attack." We watched the news on the phone together all morning and waited for her husband to make it home from downtown DC and to hear the news of our mutual friends who worked at the Pentagon. Fortunately, all the men and women we were close to were safe; but so many were not. It is with a heavy heart that I will remember those who were lost.

Welcome, Willows :-)

  1. I remember watching the news while it was happening and the news presenter was crying because her husband was there - still makes me well up and it still feels unreal :(

Your ATC's are amazing, saw them earlier over on GA :)

  2. Thanks for the Sept.11 reminder Nicole, it's hard to believe it's been 8 years. I think we all remember exactly where we were when we heard the devastating news.

On another note... love the vintage ATC's! Amy told me you were on her DT, and CONGRATS!!! I don't know of anyone who could show off the goods better than you Nicole!!! Rock on!

  10. I like your ATCs.

As a native New Yorker, living in NJ, it was an especially difficult day for me since many of my family members worked down in the financial district. Fortunately, no one in my family was hurt, though many of us lost friends.

The aftermath was even more tragic and seemed to impact every facet of life for quite some time.

  14. I just recently bought some ATC cards to work with but wasn't sure how to get started. Thank you for posting this today. I now have some inspiration.

And also, thank you for posting sentiments about 9/11. I was suppose to be on one of those flights that day..but that's a whole other story. I have family who responded and who lost members of their fire houses. It brings comfort to know that they didn't do it in vain.

Thanks for your heart. I was in Virginia (visiting from California) only 10 minutes out of D.C. It was a sad, scary day
