I've been working on some soft furnishings for my family. The trouble is, I don't know much about sewing. I did a little a lifetime ago - sadly all that sewing on paper doesn't translate to making household accessories.
We need napkins so I started there. They are incredibly flawed but considering they'll be mopping up spaghetti I'm not stressing too much.
Here's the evidence:
Linen and ric rac make me happy :-) Only ten more to go.
These are fantastic, Nicole!!
ReplyDeleteThose look great. What a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely.. I think I'd be inclined to only use them with colourless dinners! :o)
ReplyDeleteThose are too, too cute! Love the linen on the back!
ReplyDeleteThey don't look flawed at all!! What do you not like about them? I know when I made placemats, I didn't like that they weren't perfectly rectangular (ha ha!) Good job stashbusting!
ReplyDeleteNew here... LOVING your blog. The napkins are great.
ReplyDeleteI added you to my google reader :)
I think they are great. I am always making soft furnishings for my family. Pillows, napkins, table clothes, etc. Your sewing skills will return shortly. I did not have any clean napkins for Easter dinner, so 2 hours before I was to have 19 people for dinner I whipped up some cute ones from some fabric I had. Check them out, I will post pictures after I switch the laundry.....
ReplyDeleteI love that combination! So cute with the ric rac!

These are adorable. Even if they will only mop up food--it is nice to be able to do that in style. :)
