Oops. Just found a bunch of unpublished posts in my drafts folder. 

Somehow I keep doing that.

This is from my embellished antique scissors series. 

My favorite part is the tiny beads at the end the blade.

I just looked in my draft folder and I have oodles of unpublished posts... which explains why everyone has been so quiet. LOL

My habit is to write a post and then go back later, make sure it's fairly clean copy and then post it the next morning. Apparently the system broke down a bit. 

So... scissors!

I am crushing on these hard. 

Do school room safety scissors conjure up all sorts of memories for you too? 

I vividly recall the feeling of cutting through construction paper with absolute abandon. 

Methinks it's time to take that abandon out for a spin again.

Embellished Scissors: DARE

This is my favorite pair, I know you shouldn't share the one you like best so early on but it's Friday...

Friday is kind of like the party you get to have every week.

This is the only sharp pair of antique scissors I decorated. All the rest have nice, friendly rounded ends. 

But dare... DARE is not a 'rounded edges' sort of proposition is it. 

And they're ORANGE. My most favoritest, loveyist, audacious color of all.

Good Morning, everyone!

Today I'm debuting another pair of embellished scissors. 

These adorable decorations really make my heart sing.

I started with antique children's scissors, dyed them with alcohol ink and then embellished them with wire, beads and a word of inspiration or encouragement.
