New Series: The Sex Life of a Modern Mermaid

I've been wanting to do a B-Movie style soapy series of cards (or panels) about a mermaid's quest for love. The first panel begins with our heroine Wanda heading to the ball where she plans to reveal her true self to her beau Steve. Stay tuned to find out how Steve reacts to his chartreuse goddess. Is his love only skin deep?



This is also my entry for the Moxie Fab World All Dressed Up Challenge I used this dress as my inspiration for Wanda's ball gown, each layer of her gown is torn paper like the ruffles and I followed the champagne color scheme on her skirt as well. I love the models attitude and arm position and I hope Wanda echoes it.



Supplies/ Technique: Mermaid Anchor Stamp by Bombshell Stamps. Stamped and embossed on watercolor paper with JoAnn Essentials ink and colored with zig markers using watercolor technique. Background uses Basic Grey papers, Bazzill, Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and machine stitching. Edges are distressed with Tim Holtz distressing tool.
